I was born in France, raised in Colombia, graduated from college in Florida, and lived in Turkey for 5 years before settling in South Texas.

 Having lived most of my life between cultures and languages, those two elements are central to my work. I like to explore the factors that play a role in who we become, and most of my characters exist at the intersection of different experiences.

Although I am fluent in Spanish and French—and have an upper-intermediate ability in Turkish—I have been writing in exclusively in English for close to 15 years. One of my goals is to write at least small works of fiction in Spanish (and maybe French and Turkish).
